OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL: BWRAO adds an Angel-o to its stable of writers

Roberto Serra

Buongiorno a tutti!

My name is Angelo Fiorini and I'm delighted to announce that I'm going to be joining Danny and the team as a writer here on BWRAO. I'm an Irish/Italian recently moved to California and have previously written for Soccerlens, the Guardian, Back Page Football, Ghostgoal and the Equaliser blog among others.

I'm also a huge Azzurri fan and I'm eagerly awaiting the World Cup next year in Brazil. Forza Ragazzi! Liverpool are my team in England and working for a company based out of Boston, following a few visits there I've become a fan of the Patriots, the Red Sox and the Celtics. (I know, not very popular outside of Massachusetts.)

I've been a Juventino since 1990 and given the aforementioned year many of you will have no problem in guessing what might have been the primary reason for me becoming a Juventus fan. Yes, a certain Roberto Baggio. In fact, this is probably the very moment it happened.

Since then I've followed the club through many ups and downs, great players have come and gone but the club has lived on. One of my fondest early memories as a Juve fan was Baggio lifting the UEFA Cup in 1993 and, although crashing out of the Champions League this season has been bitterly disappointing, what better way to respond than repeat the feat of Il Divin Codino et al and win the Europa League in our own backyard next year.

Felice Anno Nuovo!
