Okay, that's not exactly what resident Juve insider Claudio Zuliani is telling us. But the gist is still the same: Juventus and Roma in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia on Jan. 21. That seems like a pretty decent game, even if the backups will likely be taking up the majority of the starting lineup.
And you thought last weekend's game against Roma was the only time Antonio Conte's squad would have the chance to remind everybody who the best team in Italy really is. Ha!
There's just one thing, though: They don't exactly know where they're playing the game yet. Here's why, courtesy of Juventus' official website.
It all depends on the outcome of Lazio v Parma and Napoli v Atalanta, taking place on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 January respectively. Roma have a higher coefficient than Juve in the draw, so are entitled to play at home; a right they will obviously still hold if Parma qualify for the quarter-finals, but which Lazio - the title holders - will inherit if the Biancocelesti find themselves in the quarter-finals with Atalanta.
In that case, Juventus will play Roma in Turin. But if Napoli win, their higher coefficient will mean Lazio will have to play at the Stadio San Paolo and the Bianconeri will instead travel to take on the Giallorossi at the Stadio Olimpico.
Let the musical chairs begin, I guess. Does this mean we become Lazio fans so that Juventus play Roma in Turin rather than the Italian capital? Yeah, I think so. It's not really the worst thing in the world. Not like we're asking ourselves to root for Inter or anything like that. That's just...yeah.
