Guinness International Champions Cup Game Time Thread: Juventus vs. Inter Milan

Kevork Djansezian

In five weeks, Juventus and Inter MIlan will step onto the field at the San Siro in a match that almost certainly highlight the third week of action in the young Serie A campaign. It will be an intense affair as it almost always between two of the biggest rivals Italy has to offer.

But before there's the first Derby d'Italia of the season, there's the Der...I don't even know what to call it.

In just a few short hours, Juventus and Inter Milan will step onto the field at Sun Life Stadium in Miami in a match that will be for seventh place in the Guinness International Champions Cup. It may be intense. Your guess is probably as good as mine. All we know is that both teams will enter the final game in the States coming off pretty bad losses on opposite coasts of the United States.

Not exactly the same thing as what will take place in a couple weeks.

But for 90 minutes, Antonio Conte will try to get some kind of momentum again before Juve actually play a game that counts on the record books. That game, which is in exactly 11 days, is the Italian Supercoppa. That trophy is something Juventus won this time last season and it's something that they're obviously targeting again in 2013.

Maybe a visit to Miami Beach will cure Juventus of their preseason blues? Or maybe they'll just see those black and blue stripes and remember how evil they can be. So, what'd ya say we make this trip to Miami not a total waste, fellas? I think that'd be a somewhat decent idea.
