It seems like we've been here before. Not because calcio is back in our lives — that's a good thing. But it's mainly because Juventus just played Lazio two weeks ago in the Supercoppa. But, ya know, I liked that game. I liked it a lot.
But this isn't about me. This is about Juventus trying to beat Lazio for the second time in two weeks.
There's no need to travel to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Not even close to that. All of Antonio Conte's band of Juventinos need to do is get out of bed, put on their finest suit, and then arrive at the Juventus Stadium ready to rock and roll. See? Simple enough. So easy a caveman could do it. (Maybe Andrea Pirlo is actually one judging by how the beard has been around for about 15 months now.)
Now Juventus look to give their faithful tifo quite a home opener to cheer about. Hard to believe that it's the third season opener at Juventus Stadium already, isn't it? There's been quite the amount of moments in such a short period of time at the crown jewel of Italian footy stadiums. And now, on Opening Night No. 3, Conte's men look to add to it.
Sounds like a plan to me. Won't see any objections coming from this guy.
