Game Time Thread: Juventus vs. Lazio

Joern Pollex

Champions League or no Champions League, this is the start of the final push. Seven rounds remain and Juventus are still plenty pushing double digits when it comes to their lead atop Serie A. And with that being said, it's time for the Old Lady to fly into the Italian capital for a battle with Lazio.

(Yes, a Lazio-Eagle pun. Sorry, but I'm not really sorry about it.)

The last time we saw Lazio, they were eliminating Juventus from the Coppa Italia. If you're thinking like me, you've probably forgotten that ever happened seeing as Juve played like total garbage. And who really wants to remember something like that? Exactly my point.

But I guess you could say this is a little different.

For one, a loss doesn't end the run towards a trophy for either team, so that's nice. And, speaking of trophies, another positive result for Juventus pushes them that much closer to No. 31. With six league games left after this one, what is already looking incredibly likely to happen gets that much closer to a party and Gigi Buffon lifting another trophy above his head this season.

So, thrill us, Juve. We're getting closer and closer to Scudetto time again. I like that time. It's fun!

And hey, it's a Monday game, so make sure you're hiding the stream from your boss if you're at work. Luckily I have the day off. Suckas!
