A couple of weeks ago, It would've been fun to have former Juve legends go up against one another as head coaches. Ciro Ferrara and Antonio Conte reuniting against one another in their second careers.
Ah, how nice it would have been.
But, because Sampdoria do Sampdoria things, that won't be happening any time this season. Instead, we get a coaching matchup that, well, doesn't have as many storylines as the other. Thanks a lot for killing all of our fun, Samp management. Jackasses.
I digress.
The first game back from the winter break marks the official midway point in the season. Juventus were winter champs and are mathematically assured of being atop the Serie A table when the schedule flips over in a week's time. And what do you know — Juve are gonna be heading back to the Tardini to play Parma. Huh. Seems like we were just there. Oh, that's right.
So, um, keep it going. Keep the training rolling. Rinse and repeat. Choose whatever phrase you want. Just keep winning.
(Great suggestion, I know.)
