OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL: Juventus Sign Federico Peluso On Loan With Option To Buy

Surprise!!!!

Marco Luzzani

It isn't earth-shattering. It isn't the headline-grabbing move a lot of papers have been linking Juventus to in recent weeks. It's not even the move that sees a full-time starter come into the team's ranks.

But the talk of Federico Peluso's talk to Juventus can end. That's mainly because after undergoing complete medical exams on Wednesday, the 28-year-old left-back sealed his move to Turin, coming to Juve on loan until the end of the season with an option to eventually buy his full contract when the campaign is over.

From juventus.com:

For the second half of the season, Federico Peluso will wear the Juventus shirt. The Bianconeri have reached an agreement with Atalanta to take the player on loan until 30 June 2013, with the additional option of purchasing his contract outright.

Pretty simple deal to figure out, although no financial terms were given online. And it's pretty simple to figure out why Peluso is joining Juventus. With Kwadwo Asamoah off to Africa Cup of Nations duty in a matter of days, there would be a void left in who would being the starting wingback on the left side of Juve's midfield. With Peluso being brought in on the relatively cheap,

Also of note: What happens to Paolo De Ceglie? Pretty clear sign that Juve don't have the confidence in him that they once did, no?

I guess we can wait for all of that to shake out. January is already crazy enough with all the stupidity of rumors being spewed out on a regular basis, we don't need to add to it, right?
