Game Time Thread: Juventus vs. Genoa

Claudio Villa

We were just a week away from Gigi Delneri's grand return to Turin. A week away, people! That could have been some kind of serious homecoming. One that could even involve a parade. Or maybe a few whistles and things along those lines.

An either/or kind of deal, I guess.

So instead of old vs. new, Delneri vs. Conte, it's Ciro Immobile's current club against the club every Juventino hopes he's playing on in the not-so-distant future. Maybe not the same storyline as the one that could have potentially taken place on the sidelines, but still something that should interest us all. And especially a test for young Ciro, who will be going up against a team that has one of the best defenses around.

Let's just hope the ex-effect doesn't go all bonkers and cause Juventus to drop any more points in 2013. Then again, Ciro isn't really an "ex," so maybe he won't get on the scoresheet this time. Marco Borriello on the other hand...

Enough talking. On to the game.
