2014 World Cup Qualifying Game Time Thread: Italy vs. Bulgaria

Having an international break two weekends into the season is stupid. Completely and utterly stupid.

Have I mentioned that before? Pretty sure I have.

ANYWAYS....

Italy begins its qualification for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with a matchup against the now-retired Dimitar Berbatov's Bulgaria in Sofia. Yeah, that same Berbatov who signed with about 50 clubs last week before finally deciding on Fulham. Good thing for him that he didn't have to chose between nationalities or else that would have been a total mess.

Just as a refresher, here are the callups. (And in case you forgot, you're welcome.)

Goalkeepers: Buffon (Juventus), De Sanctis (Napoli), Sirigu (Paris St. Germain), Viviano (Fiorentina)

Defenders: Astori (Cagliari), Balzaretti (Roma) Peluso (Atalanta), Barzagli (Juventus), Bonucci (Juventus), Cassani (Fiorentina), Maggio (Napoli), Ogbonna (Torino)

Midfielders: De Rossi (Roma), Diamanti (Bologna), Giaccherini (Juventus), Marchisio (Juventus), Nocerino (Milan), Pirlo (Juventus), Poli (Sampdoria), Verratti (Paris St. Germain)

Forwards: Borini (Liverpool), Destro (Roma), Giovinco (Juventus), Insigne (Napoli), Osvaldo (Roma), Pazzini (Milan)
