The transfer of Kwadwo Asamoah and Mauricio Isla was made official today. The deal includes the purchase of half of Asamoah's contract for €9 million and half of Isla's contract for €9.4 million. No word yet on their salaries. Juventus have also sold half of Pasquato's contract to Udinese for €1.5 million.

The Juventus website had the following posting:

Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the following agreements have been finalised with Udinese Calcio S.p.A.:

- definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Kwadwo Asamoah for a consideration of € 18 million to be paid in 3 years. At the same time, Juventus and Udinese signed a player sharing agreement (ex art. 102 bis N.O.I.F.) related to the same player for a consideration of € 9 million to be paid by Udinese in 3 years;

- definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Mauricio Anibal Isla for a consideration of € 18.8 million to be paid in 3 years. At the same time, Juventus and Udinese signed a player sharing agreement (ex art. 102 bis N.O.I.F.) related to the same player for a consideration of € 9.4 million to be paid by Udinese in 3 years;

- definitive disposal of the registration rights of the player Cristian Pasquato for a consideration of € 3 million to be paid in 3 years. At the same time, Juventus and Udinese signed a player sharing agreement (ex art. 102 bis N.O.I.F.) related to the same player for a consideration of € 1.5 milion to be paid by Juventus in 3 years. The operation generates for the financial year 2012/2013 a positive economic effect of about € 1.5 million.

Although this is not news to anyone, the pricetag is a little higher than expected: €35 million compared to the €30 million that was being rumored only a few weeks ago. Isla and Asamoah bring Serie A experience and grinta to a group in which they will fit just fine. They also bring depth and competition to an already good squad. Asamoah and Isla are more than capable of benching Marchisio and Vidal if the latter don't continue to work as hard as they have been doing so far. In addition, they provide more tactical solutions for Conte in case he wants to play a 4-3-3 or even a 4-4-2 (if Pirlo were injured, suspended, or requiring rest).

On the other hand, sending Pasquato to Udinese in co-ownership is a good move. Pasquato will thrive in a seconda punta role (he is not a winger or wingback for Serie A) with Udinese and he will hopefully get some European experience with them.

In bocca al lupo to all three, in their respective adventures in black and white. Forza Maurizio, Forza Kwadwo, and Forza Cristian (except against Juve), and of course Forza Juve.
