On the fourth day of their pre-season training, which took place Tuesday, Marotta was on hand to watch Siena-bound holding midfielder Luca Marrone and co-owned forward Davide Lanzafame shine in an 11-a-side mini-match on a 50 metre field. Lanzafame coolly finished in on goal against Manninger, whereas Marrone unleashed a nasty long-distance right-footed shot to equalize for his side. No doubt Del Neri and Marotta took notice.
