Referee: Babark Rafati
At the half the score was 0-0 with both sides having scoring opportunities, the home side first with dutchman Van der Vaart on a free kick. Then Juve with Del Piero and Criscito with chances. Clearly with the first half Ranieri wanted to go with a "show me who wants to stay" formation, utilizing the B roster. Other then Del Piero and you can throw Salihamidzic in there, the rest of the starting eleven is questionable as to staying with the club and are showcasing themselves for Ranieri and other teams. Not a bad move on Ranieri's part having these guys go up against the likes of a decent opponent with Van de Vaart, De Jong, Trochowsky, and Kompany. Im curious to see if 2 of my favorite starlets Criscito and Nocerino can rise to the occasion and stamp their place into the roster for the 07-08 season. There is nothing more dissapointing or difficult to go through summer training with a team and then the last week being loaned out and having to start from behind with a new team, coach, and surroundings. Then they wonder why players in that situation never realy adapt and struggle..... well hopefully Domenico and Antonio either stick around or a decision is made for a loan sooner then later.
